International SEO for Hotels
The international hotel sector is undoubtedly one of the most competitive business models at every level. However, once again, we are sharing part of the off-page strategy developed alongside one of our clients through Growwer’s managed service.
Our client—one of the largest hotel chains in the world—had a specific challenge in several geolocations where a significant drop in traffic had occurred and where there was strong business interest. 📉

Recovering traffic & capturing new search intents
The objective was twofold: regain rankings and grow through new search intents, all aligned with a clear business goal: a specific country and a well-defined segment—the luxury sector.
Unlike high-volume transactional searches aimed at the general public, the luxury segment features lower demand but much more specificity and, of course, a significantly higher average ticket. 💰
Strategic & coordinated execution
Once the target countries were clearly identified—those where potential guests for the hotel properties were concentrated—we began to implement the strategy.
We worked in full coordination with the client’s internal teams, especially the SEO and CRO departments, which was essential to ensure coherence and effectiveness.
After completing full on-page optimization (covering technical and UX aspects), we moved forward with off-page executions.
Relevant media, strategic content & semantic anchoring
We prioritized local media in the target countries, aligned both thematically and with the ideal customer profile, selecting only those that offered true relevance for this initiative.
Through the published content, we reinforced the semantic context of the project and implemented complementary strategic structures.
We placed strong emphasis on the anchoring strategy, focusing on terminology tied to the luxury ecosystem and building a natural, diversified link profile that was fully aligned with the positioning objectives.
Results achieved
The result: with fewer than 10 backlinks pointing to this specific luxury cluster, we not only regained lost rankings but also managed to rank for new high-intent transactional queries—delivering real business value. 📈

Ranking increases for the most relevant searches
Conclusion
This is how external SEO actions are handled at scale: executing strategic, precision-driven initiatives on selected clusters, sending link signals to new URLs to accelerate growth and discovery, or boosting visibility of brand initiatives (not just promotional ones) in coordination with SEO, PR, and other teams.
