Before explaining this success story in more detail, let’s look at the data. The post currently has an estimated 20,700 organic visits, which come from 421 ranking keywords, of which 56 are in the Top10, as you can see below:
In this case, the client’s goal with the post was to go after keyword volume that could rank on the first page, so that, by adding up medium-to-high traffic terms, it could generate a good volume of recurring visits and give more visibility to the company the news story was about. Here you can see some of the volumes of the keywords it is ranking on the first page.
In addition, a lot of emphasis was placed on using the article’s content to cover all the terminology that could be answered within the complete search intent of that cluster of keywords, chosen for their traffic.
It is worth adding that special care was taken in choosing the news story’s image, since the goal was also, as was later achieved, to capture traffic from Google Discover and to appear in the Top stories list of Google’s SERPs. Here is an example of the module in question:
How can I get these results myself?
The process is very simple, but if you don’t know SEO, we do it for you: you only need to use our managed service, which you will find HERE.
We break it down for you in 3 simple steps:
1. The first thing we have to do is find our direct competitor with the most informational traffic, since we will use its database of highest-traffic keywords as the seed for our analysis. For this example, let’s imagine we have a health website specializing in diets:
I would take my domain, add it to Ahrefs and go to “Organic search” > “Competing domains”, and there I would sort by “Keywords unique to competitor”, as you can see in the following image:
As you can see, we have a list of the websites that rank for keywords in this sector, which are competitors of our project, and what we want to know is which ones have the most unique keywords. In this case, I would pick a website that is as focused as possible on my sector, for example: alimmenta.com
2. We will open that domain in Ahrefs, go to “Organic Keywords” and set a filter so that only keywords ranking in the TOP10 are shown, and we will sort them by volume. Why the Top10? Because if this website ranks in the Top10, there is a good chance that we, or the articles we generate through Growwer, will rank too. Here is the result:
Ahrefs tends to repeat keywords, so the best option is to download the first 200 keywords and remove the duplicates in Excel.
3. The last step will show you all the results in just 5 minutes with minimal effort. All you have to do now is add your project to Growwer. And the important thing is that you enable this option: “Configure SEO information”
This will let us enter all the interesting keywords we found earlier, and in just a few minutes Growwer will return all the media outlets or blogs where we can publish an article that our potential customers will read and that also has a high chance of ranking for those keywords.
What are you waiting for to get more visibility for your business or company?
